South Africa to attain Sustainable Development Goals by 2030

South Africa’s Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities Mmapaseka Steve Letsike says South Africa has invested a lot to ensure that they attain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’S) by 2030.

This is despite the fact that most country are already trailing behind in some of the SDG’s. Mmapaseka Letsike was a keynote speaker last night at the “She’s Next Awards” to honour women entrepreneurs which is a partnership between Visa and Absa bank.

She said she is glad that women are really making inroads in business, “We have a responsibility to deliver our SDGs, not only just SDG4. We have significantly invested resources as a country, and ultimately I can tell you this, we will reach SDGs, not only just four, but all our SDG targets will be met. I am not too ambitious for it. I am ambitious and it’s the right thing to do. We have just started our seventh administration. What more can you measure us on besides delivering.”
